Art Camp 2026

Art Camp 2026: Textiles

Sunday, July 26 – Wednesday, July 29

1-4 p.m.

“You knit me together”

-Psalm 139

Who?

Elementary students! (Any child entering kindergarten through sixth grade for the 2026-27 school year)

What?

Art Camp! This year is focused on art with textiles (fabric, yarn, cloth, paper). Our theme for the year is from Psalm 139: “You knit me together.” We will explore how we are all created by God out of love and for love. Some art will be individual projects, and some will be communal projects. We will make a lot of art and we will also spend time wondering together about stories from the life of Jesus and playing games and on the playground.

When?

Sunday, July 26, through Wednesday, July 29! We will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Note that this year we will meet in the afternoons, which is different from previous years! Also, this year we will end on Wednesday with an outdoor cookout and camp celebration! Families are welcome to come from 4-6 p.m. to celebrate and enjoy dinner.

Where?

Faith Baptist Church, 116 Pocahontas Trail, Georgetown

How much?

It’s free!

Why?

Art Camp is a way for us at Faith Baptist to share God’s love with our community. We believe that making art helps us to understand our Creator God better and helps us to share God’s love with others in tangible ways. We hope campers will come away from these few days knowing they are loved unwaveringly by The Great Artist and created to do loving work in our community.

What else?

Every camper needs to register at the link below. We will be outside every day, and be making art every day, so campers will likely get dirty! Dress accordingly, and be sure to slather on sunscreen or bug spray before you get to camp.
