Youth 6

 

    Youth 6 is a group that meets weekly, where 6th graders are introduced to some of the topics that might arise once they get to the Youth group.  In Youth 6, we spend time outside our comfort zones, learning about each other and ourselves. 

    Our focus during most of the year has been about change.

    Change.  BibleGateway, a free online biblical resource, lists 71 results for a search of the word “change”.  In Scripture, you can change your clothes, see a staff changed into a snake,  change your mind, or be changed.  1 Samuel 10:6 says this-  The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and YOU WILL BE CHANGED INTO A DIFFERENT PERSON. 

    Middle-schoolers sometimes seem like a different person everyday.  I pray that Youth 6 changes them- I pray it changes all of us.
 
    Our overall focus this year will be a change in perspective-- we will be challenged in how we look at Scripture & what we do with that; through this we will be learning who we are and what we believe.
